Hi there!  My name is Mable. 2026 has been a tough year so far because my owner passed away and when my owner's family came from out of state they ended up opening the door and just letting me out and abandoning me.  I walked the neighborhood for weeks with neighbors feeding me but no one wanted to really help.  Thankfully a wonderful lady picked me up when she heard I was left to fend for myself.  So, I am new to the rescue so I haven't shown my whole personality yet but we are all getting to know one another.  Right now I am fostered with lots of canine companions and I love them all!  I have a bit of weight to lose, well ok, maybe a lot of weight to lose but I am a happy girl.  I am working on figuring out how to walk on a leash.  I don't pull but I guess I just haven't figured it all out yet so I tend to stand versus walking.  You see, my previous owner would just open the door and let me romp about so I never had to walk on a leash.  But, I am willing to learn.  

I want to stress that I love all dogs!  The nice rescue people laughed when they met me and watched me greet a tiny little dog lucky enough to be pushed in a stroller.  They thought it was so cute how I appeared to kiss the tiny dog by going nose to nose.  

I am hoping someone will love me like my previous owner!  Hope to meet you soon!
