Hi! I’m Fancy, and I’m finally ready to tell you my story.

My brother Tubby and I were born with our mama in an empty lot in a bad area of Little Rock. We were scared little babies, and then one day  really nice rescue people came to help us. They trapped Mama, Tubby, and me, and when that trap door went down, we were SUPER scared!

But then something wonderful happened. We were taken inside where it didn’t rain on us anymore. We had food and fresh water every day, soft places to sleep, and people who were kind to us. We slowly learned that humans could be good.

Mama found her forever home. My brother Tubby found his forever home. And now… it’s my turn!

I’m a shy girl, but I’m also incredibly sweet. I LOVE other dogs, and I would really love a forever family with another friendly dog because having a doggie friend helps me feel brave and confident. Right now, I live with four other dogs, and I absolutely love playing with them!

I also have a very special secret… I LOVE to spoon with my foster mama.  Sometimes when she’s already asleep, I quietly crawl into bed and snuggle right up behind her legs or curl up against her tummy. I may be shy, but once I trust you, I have so much love to give.

And guess what? I’m SUPER crate trained! My foster mama doesn’t even have to tell me when it’s time for her to leave for work. When I see her getting ready to walk out the door, I know exactly what’s coming. I happily let myself into my crate, curl up, and settle down. My foster mama says I’m such a good girl!

I have some pretty funny hobbies, too! I LOVE chasing frogs. But don’t worry—I’m much too sweet and delicate to hurt them. I just love bounding after them! I also love jumping up in the air trying to catch dragonflies. Again, I don’t want to hurt them. I just think chasing them is SO much fun!

I’m also very food motivated. My foster mama says that when I get adopted, she’s sending me home with a whole package of hot dogs because they are my FAVORITE snack!  And my favorite toy is one that rolls around and makes silly noises. I love pushing it around just so it can make those funny sounds at me!

I absolutely LOVE being outside, too.

And have I mentioned that I’m beautiful? My foster mama says I’m especially pretty when she puts my pink leopard-print bandanna on me.  I have long, lanky legs, a sweet face, and the gentlest little personality.  Oh, and I can’t forget to mention my ears.  They have a mind of their own.  One likes to be up and the other likes to be down.  My foster mama says it’s the cutest thing ever!

I know I’m a little shy. I know I’ll need a family who will be patient with me and let me come out of my shell at my own pace. But I’m ready. I’m ready for my forever family. I’m ready for my own home, my own people, my own doggie friend, and a lifetime of being loved.

My mama got her happily-ever-after. My brother got his.

Now I’m hoping someone will look at this shy, sweet, long-legged girl and decide that I’m their Fancy.
