Hi there, I’m Chip of the Speckle Squad! I am a bit outnumbered in my family because I am the only boy in the Speckle Squad. I am all white but have a tan marking on my head which is adorable! My mama's name is Speckle and if you are on social media in Central Arkansas you may have seen her pictures because she is famous! Prior to the nice rescue people getting us all safe, she was affectionately known as the "momma dog" who spent her days lying too close to the road on Hwy 365, right beside Speck Cabinets in Maumelle.
Mama told me that some incredible humans came together to help all of us. She said that we met real life heros- Debbie Nash, Preston Noland, Miss Doreen, Miss Sarah and Mr. Vernon, who worked tirelessly to rescue us. They even had to tear up floorboards of an abandoned house where we were hiding. It was so loud when all of that was going on but mama assured us that really nice people were there to help us. And did I tell you they did it all as the sun was setting? They are all so cool! I am excited to turn 10 weeks old because I will be ready to find my forever family! My mama, Speckle, is also looking for her forever home as well as my 3 sisters, Dottie, Bon Bon and Dollop so spread the word about us!

Hi there! My name is Willow, and I’m on a quest to find my forever home. You see, I started my journey as a stray and ended up in the shelter. The volunteers all loved me and all wanted to take me for walks so that made my time there happy. But, the reality was I had been there for six weeks and it was getting close to the time I was going to be euthanized.
Shelters aren’t bad places & in fact I was at least off the street. I didn’t have to feel stressed searching for a safe place to sleep at night & I no longer had to search for food and water. Shelters only have so much space. They do the best that they can.
I am so thankful for a volunteer who had the rescue give me a foster family to live with instead. I wish more families would foster because when the rescue took me out that meant it made space for another dog, and kept one from being euthanized. So, if you’re reading my bio, please consider fostering so some more dogs can be saved.
I know the pictures of me are a little unusual because I had another bump of hardship in foster care. I had the best foster parents ever. The problem was that after three weeks of living with them that in my excitement to play with the neighbor dogs, I had a lapse of judgment and jumped over a low part of my fosters‘s fence into the neighbor’s yard.
I was horrified when one of the dogs I had just been playing with attacked me. Let’s just say I’m blessed to be here after that incident. After it was all over and done and they knew I was going to be ok, everyone laughed about the fact my amazing foster dad rushed me to the vet without even putting on a shirt! I am not even sure he had shoes on either. How sweet is that?
Despite my adventure, I bounced back quickly! I’m a strong, happy girl who loves every dog I meet, big or small, young or old. I’ve got a quirky personality and a heart full of love to give. The volunteer and the rescue people all say the same thing that there’s something about my eyes. They say that when I look at them, it’s like I can see into them with my eyes as if I’m trying to communicate with them.
I’m great on a leash —I never pull! I don’t jump and I am very gentle so I would be great with any family. I would be great with a young family with kids, I would be great for someone young that loves to hike or run and I would also be great for someone that is older that needs someone easy on a leash.
I hope my forever family finds me soon.

Hi there! I’m Abigail! Let me tell you a little about myself, l was abandoned by some bad people & showed up on the porch of some nice people in rural Arkansas. I was skin & bones so they were a bit surprised when I had 3 puppies a few days after showing up at their house. All 3 of my puppies have found loving homes so now it’s my turn to find my forever family. I’ve learned to love the comforts of home. My favorite thing is lounging on beds & couches.
I am being fostered with two other canines & a feline! I would do best in a home with other pets, as I get a little lonely when left alone. If you work during the day, I’d really appreciate having another furry friend around. But if you’re retired or can spend plenty of time at home with me, I’d be over the moon to hang with you.
I am great on a leash—walks are my favorite thing ever. I am super easy to care for as I am really mellow but yet still playful with other dogs.
If you want to meet me, please call the nice rescue people at The Buford Project Rescue at 847 846 8134 or fill out an adoption form on their website. I am in Little Rock, AR so I would love to meet you!
Signing off,
Abagail
