Hi there, I’m Speckles!

You might have seen me on social media when I was in the spotlight, not exactly the glamorous kind, though. I was affectionately known as the "momma dog" who spent my days lying too close to the road on Hwy 365, right beside Speck Cabinets in Maumelle.  And that's where my name came from, Mr. Jake at Speck Cabinets was always so kind to me.  Every once in a while I would go in the big garage doors of his cabinet company and hang out and he never chased me away and would give me yummy treats.  He is a very kind man and I am so thankful to him for giving me space to feel safe so I could be near humans after being abandoned by others.  It's pretty lonely living under an abandoned house taking care of my babies who were just a couple of weeks old and it always made me feel some comfort to be near someone so nice. I used to be loved and Jake reminded me of what all people should be like, kind.

I am so blessed because on top of Jake, there were some incredible humans that came together to help me and my babies.  A heartfelt thank you to Debbie Nash, Preston Noland, and all the amazing neighbors like Jake, Miss Doreen, Mr. Vernon and  Miss Sarah who worked tirelessly to rescue us, even tearing up the floorboards of an abandoned house where I was keeping my puppies hidden.

The rescue people now call me and my babies the "Speckle Squad" because Jake at Speck Cabinets was so important in all of this.   I might seem reserved at first, but trust me, my tail is always ready to wag at the thought of new friends. I’ve been in rescue for about a week now, adjusting to my new surroundings while being a caring mom to my pups.

I’ve had a tough past, being abandoned and living under that old house, but I’m a good mom and I have a tender heart and  I am ready to love again and be loved.   As I decompress and come out of my shell, the nice rescue people will update you all!    Also, if you know of anyone wanting to adopt any of my cute babies, please tell them to ask about Chip, Dottie, Bon Bon and Dollop!  I hope you will ask to meet me or one of my babies!

Hello, I’m Cinta!

I’m a Christmas baby, born on December 28, 2024, and I must say, I'm as cute as a bug! I have five adorable siblings, some of whom look just like me, but I'm on the hunt for my forever home.

I’m a pro at crate training and won't make a peep, even if I need to stay in there for a while. Although I might need a little tasty motivation to step inside sometimes! I’m super smart, too—when I switched to my new foster home, I learned how to sit and stay in just 48 hours so my foster mom can put my leash on.

Food is my biggest motivation, so I eat from a slow feeder to avoid gobbling it all up too fast. My favorite toys include chew bones and anything that vibrates or plays music, but I absolutely love my vibrating ball that rolls around on its own. It keeps me entertained for hours!

I recently discovered how pretty I am when I saw my reflection in the mirror at first, I thought I was seeing another dog and barked at myself! But after my foster mom explained, I couldn't help but marvel at my gorgeous eyes.

I’m great with other dogs and currently share my foster home with four furry friends, and there’s a feline who I find a bit intimidating. I would thrive in a loving home, especially with a young family or anyone who will appreciate my playful spirit. Plus, I’m amazing on the leash!

If you’re ready for some puppy love, I’d love to meet you and find my forever home!
