Meet dollop of the speckle squad

About dollop

Breed:  Mama German Shepherd Mix/Papa unknown
Date of Birth:  2/18/26
Weight:   Just a baby right now
Vaccines: In Process
Spayed:  Will be scheduled in Spring

Hi there, I’m Dollop of the Speckle Squad! I am one of the girls in the Speckle Squad.  I am mostly black but I have a "dollop" of white on my nose and each foot and the tip of my tail!   My mama's name is Speckle and if you are on social media in Central Arkansas you may have seen her pictures because she is famous!  Prior to the nice rescue people getting us all safe, she was affectionately known as the "momma dog" who spent her days lying too close to the road on Hwy 365, right beside Speck Cabinets in Maumelle.

Mama told me that some incredible humans came together to help all of us.  She said that we met real life heros- Debbie Nash, Preston Noland, Miss Doreen, Miss Sarah and Mr. Vernon, who worked tirelessly to rescue us.  They even had to tear up floorboards of an abandoned house where we were hiding.  It was so loud when all of that was going on but mama assured us that really nice people were there to help us.  And did I tell you they did it all as the sun was setting?  My mama is so thankful to each of them for helping all of us.  I am excited to turn 10 weeks old in April because I will be ready to find my forever family!  My mama, Speckle, is also looking for her forever home as well as my 3 siblings, Chip (who is a boy) and  Bon Bon and Dottie (who are both girls) so spread the word about us!

Hi, I'm Buttercup! You may know me by my former name, Roscoe, but I'm embracing my new name and all the love it brings!

I spent the last two years in a small-town shelter in Arkansas, where life was tough and resources were scarce.   Not many people know about the shelter so no one ever visited all of us dogs.  All of us dogs there spent all of our time in pens that were outside in the elements.  We had a top to our kennel areas but no sides - it was just something they call chain link fence so I was super hot in the summer and super cold in the winter.

I was at a big adoption event when a nice rescue group saw me and how unhealthy I was, I was only 25 lbs at the time.  They arranged to take me out of the shelter and now I have a wonderful foster mom and dad and two canine foster siblings.

Now, I’m on a journey to regain my health and strength, and I'm making progress every day! I gained 20 lbs in 3 weeks!!!

I adore spending time with other dogs at my foster home and have even made friends with a cat, showing just how ready I am to be part of a loving home.  Rolling in the grass of a normal backyard is one of my favorite new experiences, and I absolutely love wearing a cozy sweater. At the shelter, I lived outside in the elements, but now I can feel the warmth of a safe and loving home with my foster parents and my two foster canine siblings. And my foster mom and dad and the nice rescue people giggle over my silliness when I roll on my back kicking my legs.

I'm seeking a forever home where I can be loved the way every dog deserves to be loved.

Signing off,

Butter Cup

Meet addie

About addie

Breed: English Foxhound/ Halden Hound/Foxhound Mix
Date of Approximate Birth: 2024
Weight: 31 lbs
Vaccinations: Up to Date
Spayed: Yes
Potty trained: Yes
Crate trained:  Yes
Good with Children:  Yes

Good with Cats:  Yes but finds them "suspicious"
Good with dogs: Yes
Located in Little Rock, AR

Addie is a lovable rescue dog with a playful spirit.  She discovered great joy in a little squirrel toy that brings out her zoomies.  She can be sneaky though! She tried to steal her foster mom’s slippers, but Addie was just as happy to have an old shoe instead when her foster switched the two around. Deep down, Addie is a dog that wants to please and is eager to bond with her new family.  Cats should be a good companion for her although she finds them a bit suspicious but has never given chase, which shows her gentle nature. A quote from her foster, “She is precious. She and Tresi (foster’s own dog) are new best friends, and she's even coming up to me for petting. She's going to make someone an amazing dog."
