Hi, I’m Kova, and I’m looking for my forever family!
For a long time, I lived on my own in an empty lot across from a very kind lady who made sure I always had food to eat. Life was pretty hard out there, and during my time as a stray, I even had a couple of litters of puppies. The nice lady tried for a long time to get help for me, and finally, in April of this year, a rescue came to save me and my babies so we could all have the chance to find loving homes.
When I first came into foster care, everything was brand new to me. I didn’t know what stairs were, had never walked on a leash, and honestly wasn’t too sure about other dogs. But it turns out I’m a pretty smart girl! Within just a couple of days, I figured out the stairs, started learning leash walks, and discovered something AMAZING… couches and dog beds are SO comfy! You’ll usually find me stretched out on the couch, snuggled up on the bed, or relaxing on a dog bed in the living room. One thing I’m not a fan of? Crates. I’d much rather be close to my people and my dog friends.
Speaking of dog friends… they’re my favorite! I absolutely must have another dog in my forever home. I love having a canine sibling to cuddle, play, and share life with. I’ve been incredibly patient with a wild 7-month-old puppy who loves to chew on me, and I’ve even started giving a little playful payback! I truly adore other dogs.
I’m a pretty laid-back girl. I don’t get worked up over much and prefer to take life one happy moment at a time. I walk nicely on a leash, enjoy chewing on a good bone, and I’m slowly discovering that squeaky toys are actually pretty fun!
Treats definitely get my attention, but don’t expect me to show off with tricks just yet. I’m still working on that. What I do know is how to love with my whole heart.
Considering where I came from, everyone says I’m amazingly sweet, and I choose to believe the best is still ahead of me. All I need now is a family who will love me, a comfy spot to nap, and another dog to call my best friend.

Hi, I'm Buttercup! You may know me by my former name, Roscoe, but I'm embracing my new name and all the love it brings!
I spent the last two years in a small-town shelter in Arkansas, where life was tough and resources were scarce. Not many people know about the shelter so no one ever visited all of us dogs. All of us dogs there spent all of our time in pens that were outside in the elements. We had a top to our kennel areas but no sides - it was just something they call chain link fence so I was super hot in the summer and super cold in the winter.
I was at a big adoption event when a nice rescue group saw me and how unhealthy I was, I was only 25 lbs at the time. They arranged to take me out of the shelter and now I have a wonderful foster mom and dad and two canine foster siblings.
Now, I’m on a journey to regain my health and strength, and I'm making progress every day! I gained 20 lbs in 3 weeks!!!
I adore spending time with other dogs at my foster home and have even made friends with a cat, showing just how ready I am to be part of a loving home. Rolling in the grass of a normal backyard is one of my favorite new experiences, and I absolutely love wearing a cozy sweater. At the shelter, I lived outside in the elements, but now I can feel the warmth of a safe and loving home with my foster parents and my two foster canine siblings. And my foster mom and dad and the nice rescue people giggle over my silliness when I roll on my back kicking my legs.
I'm seeking a forever home where I can be loved the way every dog deserves to be loved.
Signing off,
Butter Cup
