Meet dottie of the speckle squad

About dottie

Breed:  Mama German Shepherd Mix/Papa unknown
Date of Birth:  2/18/26
Weight:   Just a baby right now
Vaccines: In Process
Spayed:  Will be scheduled in Spring

Hi there, I’m Dottie of the Speckle Squad! I am one of the girls in the Speckle Squad. I am all white but have a block spot on my head which is adorable!  My mama's name is Speckle and if you are on social media in Central Arkansas you may have seen her pictures because she is famous!  Prior to the nice rescue people getting us all safe, she was affectionately known as the "momma dog" who spent her days lying too close to the road on Hwy 365, right beside Speck Cabinets in Maumelle.

Mama told me that some incredible humans came together to help all of us.  She said that we met real life heros- Debbie Nash, Preston Noland, Miss Doreen, Miss Sarah and Mr. Vernon, who worked tirelessly to rescue us.  They even had to tear up floorboards of an abandoned house where we were hiding.  It was so loud when all of that was going on but mama assured us that really nice people were there to help us.  And did I tell you they did it all as the sun was setting?  My mama is so thankful to each of them for helping all of us.  I am excited to turn 10 weeks old in April because I will be ready to find my forever family!  My mama, Speckle, is also looking for her forever home as well as my 3 siblings, Chip (who is a boy) and  Bon Bon and Dollop (who are both girls) so spread the word about us!

About riley

Hi there! I’m Riley, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home!

Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a happy-go-lucky pup who thinks that every object in the world is one of my beloved toys! From squeaky animals to bouncy balls, you name it—I love it! My foster is teaching me which toys are mine to chew, and I’m picking it up like a pro. You see, I can be easily distracted by new toys, and that helps me learn fast!

I’ve mastered the doggie door after just a couple of tries, proving that I’m super smart! Plus, there’s nothing quite like curling up in my crate at night; it’s my cozy little den. I’m the best snooze hound out there—my foster hardly hears a peep from me! Even when morning rolls around, I like to take my time waking up, giving my foster the "why so early?" look!

Training has been a blast. I learned to sit almost immediately because I discovered that sitting earns me tasty treats! I love to hang out in the kitchen while my foster prepares dinner, and sometimes I even sit facing the opposite way, which makes everyone giggle.

I’ve got a nice big slow feeder for my meals, which helps me enjoy my food a little more slowly. And when it’s time for my business, I dash through the doggie door and head to the backyard like a champ!

Walking on a leash is a learning experience too—I’m figuring out that the leash isn’t a chew toy! Each day, I get better and better. One time, I even leaped over my foster dad’s lap while running inside from the backyard—it was a spectacular jump! Who knows, I might have some agility skills in me!

I enjoy car rides and love meeting new people and pups! I hope to have a big yard to run around in someday with a few canine friends to play with. There’s so much to explore, and I can’t wait to discover the world!

So, if you’re looking for an adventurous buddy with a heart full of love, I’m your guy !

Signing off,

Riley
