Hello  there, my name is Callie and I really hope you will ask to meet me.

My family loves me very much, but life changed-it is nothing I have done, just sad circumstances. Their biggest wish is to find me a family that will love me as much as they do.

Now, let me tell you a little about myself.  One of my favorite places in the world is my crate. Some dogs think crates are boring, but I think they're wonderful. They're cozy, safe, and perfect for taking long naps. In fact, I've been known to snooze so deeply that people stop and watch me because they think I must be having the best dreams.

I know all kinds of important commands like "sit," "down," "stay," "here," and "place." If you point to my crate or bed and say "place," I'll head right over like the good girl I am.

I absolutely love people, including children. I'm not the type to jump all over you when I get excited. Instead, I have a much gentler approach. Sometimes I'll softly place my paw on your arm as if to say, "Please don't go just yet. I was enjoying our time together."

My friends also say I'm one of the calmest dogs they've ever met. I don't bark, even when other dogs bark at me. I don't chase squirrels, birds, cats, or even tennis balls. While other dogs are sprinting after wildlife, I'm usually busy investigating a fascinating smell nearby.

Speaking of smells, I do enjoy my walks. I walk nicely on a leash, but I believe every leaf, flower, and patch of grass deserves a proper inspection. Life is full of interesting scents, after all.

The people who know me best often say I'm just about the perfect dog. I don't know if that's true, but I do know this: I have a lot of love to give and I hope you will ask to meet me.

Love,
Callie
