Hi there! My name is Buddy! I was found abandoned in a neighborhood in Central Arkansas, but thankfully a wonderful person found me and took me inside in the midst of the cold weather! It was so nice to be in a warm home with food and water again!
I am now in a very cool foster family with lots of canine friends and I hear that there is a feline in our midst but I have been told to stay clear! One of my foster siblings is a youngster and loves to play. He paws at my face constantly but I don't mind. I can tell he is young and just wanting to have fun so I just smile. My foster mom and dad say I trot about and always look like I am smiling! My vision is a bit of a mystery. I think I mostly see blobs moving around rather than clear shapes. But that doesn’t stop me from living my best life!
Within just 48 hours of arriving at my foster home, I amazed everyone by remembering the location of the two water dishes available to us canines, I figured out a doggie door by following the scent of my canine foster siblings. I even have a favorite crate I like to rest in when it is too chaotic. I’m a super sweet pup who wags my tail like a happy flag, and my beautiful blue eyes seem to look into the souls of the folks around me. Even though I bump into things sometimes, I can still follow voices and give the impression that I'm locking eyes with you.
I absolutely adore being around my foster mom, often following her everywhere. Sometimes, she finds me in the closet, searching for her—it’s quite comical! I also love snuggling in beds, where I can be a bit of a bed hog, snoring like a little teddy bear. And yes, I might roll off the bed at least once during the night, but I just find a comfy spot wherever I land and keep snoozing.
Despite my rough start and coming into rescue, I’m a happy fellow. It’s clear I was once a beloved pet, and I can’t help but wonder if my previous owner passed away or ended up in a nursing home. What I know for sure is that I’m looking for someone special to share my golden years with.
Thank you for reading my story. I can't wait to meet my forever family soon!
